This Friday is our first Dollar Dress Down Day. Students maybe bring $1 and dress down in any non-uniform clothing they would like, as long as it follows our dress-down guidelines. The money collected this Friday will specifically benefit the 8th grade class, so 8th grade families should feel free to send a little extra to support your grade!
The PTA will also be selling throwback white flour pretzels again. Cost is definitely 50 cents!
- Lower School picture day: Thursday, October 6
- Middle School picture day: Friday, October 7
- Sibling, make-up, and retake day: November 15
Picture day order forms will be coming home with students soon. But you can also browse and order your packages online. You can find complete Picture Day info in our web news or by clicking the LifeTouch banner on the front page.
Family & Student Compact
Each year, every ICS family must sign an agreement to abide by the guidelines in our Family & Student Handbook. The family compact will be going home with your youngest ICS student this week. Please have everyone in the family sign and return it in your child’s folder.
If you’d like to print out your own copy of the compact to sign, it is on the last page (p. 50) of the electronic version. You can access the electronic version anytime on our website under the “About” menu.
If you would like a paper copy of the Handbook and you didn’t pick one up at Back to School Night, just reply to this email to let me know and I will send one home with your child. Please tell me your child’s full name and teacher when you reply. We also have handbooks and blank compacts available in the front office.
We’re happy to announce that we have a new school store! You can visit it anytime by clicking the little shopping cart icon on our website. (Find it on the lower right sidebar in a desktop view or near the bottom of the page under the social media icons in a mobile view.)
Right now you can use it to place Griffin Gear orders (our next delivery date is early December for online orders placed today through November) and pay Middle School dues.
Remember to always include your student’s full name, grade, and teacher name in the notes section when placing any orders. This will help insure there are no delays or confusion when crediting your account.
