The Take Flight team sends out a big thanks to all the families, students, and teachers who helped make Tuesday’s Chipotle fundraiser a success! You raised $834 for Take Flight! WOW–that’s a lot of burritos!
It’s Cheesecake Time!
You can submit orders for cheesecakes between now and March 5. Pickup will be March 23 during report card conferences. Order forms and instructions went home with students a few weeks ago, or you can pick up extras in the front office or print more order forms here.
Cheesecakes are $25 each (or $28 for the special items). Send check along with order form in an envelope clearly labeled with your child’s name, grade, teacher, and “Cheesecake Order – Tr. Barb”.

Appel Farm Arts Camp and The Ellis Trust for Girls are partnering to provide full tuition 2 and 4 week camp scholarships to eligible girls who meet all of the following requirements:
– live in Philadelphia
– live in a household where one or both parents are absent, mentally or physically disabled
– meet the family income eligibility requirements for reduced-priced lunch
– have grades of “C” or better in major school subjects
– are making academic progress towards timely graduation
– are in a family that does not own property other than their primary residence and
– will be in grades 9 – 12 in the 2018-2019 academic year
If you have a daughter who meets those requirements and would like to apply for an Appel Farm Camp scholarship through the Ellis Trust for Girls, please contact Melissa Tevere (856-358-2472) for more information and a scholarship application.
First Sunday at the Barnes Foundation – Visit the Barnes this Sunday, March 4 between 10am-5pm and enjoy free admission (while supplies last–get there early if you want to access to the collection).
