Hello ICS families, It is officially beginning to feel like Fall! With fall weather finally here, this is a great time to make sure your children’s outerwear is clearly labeled with their first and last names. When items like coats and hats get lost they will often make their way back to you if it’s easy to find the owner’s name on it.

Don’t Forget: Keep an eye out for the few remaining physical Box Tops. As it transitions to an app-based system, it is getting harder to find physical ones on packages but they are OUT there and the HUNT IS ON! Box Tops Hunt Contest will be occurring this year as well(flyer to come).

 
The 2019 NSLW – National School Lunch Week theme is “ What’s on Your Playlist” which spotlights how school cafeterias’ are tuning up the menu! The week of October 15 to October 21, our AMAZING Food Service Company Linton’s, is giving ICS students a chance to win prizes for those who participate all 5 days!

Hispanic Heritage Month Highlight from Rm 201: A hallway display to celebrate the heritage of students in Tr. Antonia’s class! An excellent read-aloud video by bilingual kids was shown of the book “Separate is Never Equal”, which depicts the desegregation of LA schools in 1945.

Air Force Tech Sergeant Scrobe surprised Maestra Nancy & her 7th grade class after serving 6 months in Afghanistan!

Congratulations Tr. Greg on being honored as one of the STEM teachers of the year by the Philadelphia Eagles!
