Maestra Nancy and the 7th grade classes celebrated the end of Hispanic Heritage Month with a potluck and Day of the Dead projects! The celebration included delicious dishes from different parts of Latin America. During this month in Maestra Nancy’s class, they learned about 30 famous Hispanics that changed the world, geography of Latin America, completed persuasive essays about Christopher Columbus- Hero or Villain and went in depth about the Day of the Dead and the culture behind it. We are counting down until next year’s celebration!

On October 23, ICS celebrated Unity Day, an annual event that promotes National Bullying Prevention Month. It joins together to create healthier communities through kindness, acceptance, and inclusion. Each class did a wonderful job decorating their doors and hallways!
