Independence Charter School will host its Eighth Annual Lower School Career Day on Wednesday, March 25, 2020 from 8:45-10:00 am. We are looking for presenters who would be willing to share information about their careers, including how they became interested in their current field, what education/training was needed, what they do in a typical day, and any other advice they would like to share with our lower school students. Whether you are a firefighter, nurse, mechanic, engineer, or business owner- we need you!

Please sign up HERE to participate in this wonderful volunteering opportunity. This day means a great deal to our students and we would love to have you join us!

Regards,
Counselor Miriam

P.S. Kindergarten parents, you’ll notice that there are no available spots for Kinder in our signup sheet. For the past couple of year we’ve invited the Philadelphia Zoo on Wheels program to present to our Kindergarten students during Career Day. The presenter talks about his/her career and other available careers at the zoo 🙂 We will more than likely also have a team of firefighters and a firetruck for our kindergarten students to tour!

Next up…

Join us this month for our upcoming February Coffee Hour all about mindfulness with our guest facilitator, Alex Hoedeman-Eiteljorg. Learn what mindfulness is, how to use it, and how it can support the whole family in recognizing and regulating our emotions and stress levels.

Please RSVP if you’re planning to attend! Email jennyhoedeman@gmail.com
