Greetings ICS,
Since my last update so much has changed. We have all made a huge shift to learning, working, and connecting in a virtual environment. During this time our world and the ICS community is being challenged in ways that we didn’t know were possible.
None of us is untouched by this pandemic and all of us are experiencing some level of discomfort, dis-placement, dis-engagement, etc. I could go on, but we know that is not the totality of our experience.
Instead, I am challenging myself and I am challenging you to uplift the positive because it exists, and at times we have to look harder.
If you are reading this email, it means you are part of a caring community and we’ve seen that care in action. From the countless emails and phone calls you’ve received with information, resources, and updates; to the more than 400 laptops and care packages distributed to our families.
All of us have been changed in some way, but what remains the same is the mission and vision of ICS and our commitments to each other.
As you know, construction was put on hold due to COVID-19; however, we are happy to announce that construction is set to resume in May. As we look forward, we remain excited and hopeful about the road ahead!
- Construction will re-mobilize on May 4th under the CDC’s and Governor Wolf’s guidelines
- A revised timeline and projected completion date will be established once construction resumes
- Planning is underway for summer programs and the 2020-2021 school year, details will be shared once additional guidance is received from Governor Wolf and the PA Department of Education.
Thank you,
CEO Tanya
