School Meals – Beginning March 9, 2021 until the end of this school year.
All ICS students can receive free bag-breakfast and lunch without parents having to fill out additional paperwork as part of the Families First Coronavirus Response Act under the Seamless Summer Option (SS0) program which operates until June 30, 2021. This waiver is expected to support access to nutritious meals while minimizing potential exposure to the novel coronavirus (COVID–19). We have recognized the need to modify meal service models to ensure student safety. Providing meals through the SSO will support these models and not require additional administrative contact or burden.
Bag-breakfast will be available at each school entrance-location for students to grab and eat in their classrooms. Breakfast will be given with white 2% milk.
Lunch meals will be delivered directly to classrooms following ALL CDC food preparation and safety guidelines.
You can find our school meal menu on our website each month. There will only be ONE option per day with white 2% milk for breakfast and chocolate skim milk for lunch.
Every TUESDAY; in-person students will have the option to bring home a bag-breakfast and lunch for Wednesday-Asynchronous day.
Grab & Go Meals:
Families in our ICS@Home virtual program will be able to pick up one meal box and a container of milk per student every TUESDAY from 10am-12 pm at ICS (1600 Lombard Street), while we are in session for the rest of 2021 school year.
You are welcome to use any of the Philadelphia School District sites near your location for your convenience.
