Youth Suicide Awareness and Prevention Policy
ICS is committed to protecting the health, safety and welfare of its students and school community. Thus, pursuant to the Pennsylvania School Code and other applicable laws, ICS maintains a Youth Suicide Awareness and Prevention Policy.
ICS employees, including instructional staff, administrative staff, paraprofessionals, support staff, coaches, custodians and cafeteria staff, will receive information yearly concerning the school’s protocols for suicide awareness and prevention. In addition, all ICS employees who serve students in grades 6-8, in any capacity, shall participate in four (4) hours of youth suicide awareness and prevention training every five (5) years.
