Dan Dolan | PTA President

I’ve been an ICS parent for six years, now.  My son, Conor, will be a sixth grader this year, and my daughter, Molly, will be in fourth grader.  I’ve volunteered at all kinds of fun PTA events over the years, from Fall Fest to the Book Fair to the Spring Auction Party, and I’m excited to continue that fun while helping to support the great activities and trips our students will experience this year and beyond.  Lets go!

Chris Spahr | PTA Vice President
I am the father of 4th grader, Yahara Spahr, and live in Powelton Village with my wife (Nayeli), daughters (Yahara and Zyani), best friends (Cameron, Kaitlan, Ella, and Audre), dog (Nola) and two unnamed goldfish.  When not playing music or having dance parties with my family and housemates, I work as the Executive Director of  the Centennial Parkside CDC in East Parkside. I hold a PhD in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and find meaning in addressing urban challenges that impact our public health and wellness particularly in low-resource communities.  As the Vice President of the PTA, I hope to support the amazing work of the teachers and staff and continue the work of community building among parents, staff, teachers, and students so that ICS continues its great reputation of being a wonderful place for diverse sets of children and families.
Gary White | PTA Treasurer
I am the proud parent of 2 of our ICS students. For the school year 2023-2024, they are in 7th and 5th, respectively. When I’m not being a Dad or PTA Treasurer, I am an accountant specializing in financial analysis and reporting.
Tiye Thompson | PTA Secretary
I’m the Mommie of 2nd Grader Jett Devyn and have been involved with our PTA as a Class Caregiver since Kindergarten.  While 2023-2024 is my first term as a PTA Officer, I didn’t hesitate to assist and began our first month!  Although still a “rookie”, I have thirty+ years of campaigning for City, State and Federal officials, community and non-profit fundraising and “lending my voice” for scholars of all ages and economic/social backgrounds. As an avid learner, I value your time, trust your insight and welcome your feedback on improving communications towards being an even stronger leader.
I look forward to glowing alongside you during my tenure and meeting you soon, I’M FIRED UP…LET’s GLOW!
